Innovation

The engine features a NEW MODULAR-TYPE ARCHITECTURE. This design is intended to achieve increased power and duration, ensuring flight safety.

Research and Development

TM-2600 is currently undergoing TEST BED trials for verification of the engine capacities and characteristics.

Flight Safety

This engine comprises TWO AIRCRAFT SPARK PLUGS and MAGNETO for ignition, making it extremely reliable and providing high operational safety in line with INTERNATIONAL standards.

EXPERIMENTAL PROTOTYPE

El motor TM-2600-R consolida un concepto arquitectónico innovador a nivel mundial. Para validarlo experimentalmente, se construyó un prototipo funcional cuyos resultados fueron exitosos. Esta versión operativa está destinada a superar los ensayos exigidos durante el proceso de homologación. La empresa tiene previsto comenzar la producción seriada y posterior comercialización, en una primera etapa para aviones experimentales y, en una segunda etapa, en categoría certificada. La potencia máxima esperada en su primer versión es de 120 Hp, sin embargo está proyectado alcanzar los 150 Hp en futuras versiones
40th EAA Convention Highlights:

Following exhibition at EAA’s Hangar 3, Magallanes Motores de Aviación propeller engine prototype was commissioned on a mobile test bed. TM-2600-R is a 6-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2600 cc boxer aircraft engine, air-cooled, double overhead camshaft, with dual magneto ignition system. The engine power ranges from 120 to 150 hp.

Mr. Raúl Argentino Magallanes, B.S., delivered a presentation entitled “Integrated Development of Six-Cylinder Opposed Engine for Aircraft Use” in Chapter 722 Project Pavilion. The R&D organization disclosed details about the promising propulsion system to the public.
